On April 1, (yes, April Fools Day), I shared a blog post regarding big news and driverless bicycles coming to the Richland Area. Yes, that was an April Fools prank, I am known for such things, maybe some didn't know that. Now that most know that about me I do have some pretty big news of changes and new features to come. This is real now.
These last couple of months have been packed with work on several of the following major tasks:
Preparing to officially change the name of Richland Center Tourism to Greater Richland Tourism
Development of the first-of-its-kind area travel guide
Development of a new logo and tagline for the tourism entity
Development of a completely new website with best-in-class features
The continued growth of additional area townships adopting the room tax
Very shortly you will see a new name for the Richland Center Tourism entity, that will change to Greater Richland Tourism. That name better reflects the area we are promoting and representing. You will also see new logos, brands, and taglines that have been developed through the joint effort with the Richland County and Richland Center Branding Committees. We are also in the beginnings of new website development and growing our tourism destination marketing organization.
All of these efforts serve to better inform our potential guests of the opportunities available for their enjoyment in our area. We have a highly desired location for many urban and suburban visitors from Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Minneapolis, and the Quad Cities. It is our goal to make sure they are aware of those opportunities and invite them to check them out.
So be on the lookout as we begin to change and grow, you will be able to receive the new local travel guide, both in digital and print versions, beginning next week.
